The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System invites applications and nominations for president of Minnesota State Community and Technical College. A regional two-year institution with campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena, and with its online eCampus program, the college serves approximately 9,200 students annually. It offers its communities a wide range of academic services including transfer and liberal arts degrees, occupational and technical education, customized training services for business and industry, continuing education opportunities for life-long learners and strong student support services.

Located in west central Minnesota, the college serves a broad rural region that has an agricultural orientation and encompasses rivers, lakes and woodlands. The communities within its area range from small towns to the growing small urban area of Fargo-Moorhead. The region is known for its parks, retail centers and an interest in music, theater and the creative arts. Major industries include agriculture, agri-business, healthcare, tourism and manufacturing.

The president serves as chief executive officer responsible for leading the faculty, staff, and students in fulfilling the college's mission. Educational policies are jointly determined through participation of faculty, students, and administration, and in conformance with system board policies. The president reports to the system chancellor.
