Which Campus is Right for Me?

Students who enroll at Minnesota State Community and Technical College find all the advantages of a much larger college on four campuses that offer a more comfortable, manageable fit. You will find smaller class sizes, more supportive instructors, and more convenient access to services at M State.

Each campus offers its own personality, proud history, and mix of program offerings and opportunities for campus involvement.

Detroit Lakes

The Detroit Lakes campus of M State has more than 400 lakes right in its back yard! Actually, the Detroit Lakes area offers you 412 lakes within a 25-mile radius and is home to a fantastic mile-long beach. Filled with forests and refuges, the area offers plenty of outdoor activities, including fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hunting, and more.

Fergus Falls

The Fergus Falls campus is part of a vibrant community of about 14,000 people. As a regional shopping hub, Fergus Falls is also known for its charm with historic homes and tree-lined streets. At DeLagoon Park in Fergus Falls, the Central Lakes Recreation Trail begins its 55-mile paved route southward through Central Minnesota. You will also find an active arts community and plenty of recreation activities.

The campus is best known for its liberal arts focus, with about 75 percent of its students transferring to four year colleges and universities after they attend M State.

Moorhead

The Moorhead campus is at home in a community of about 34,000. Together with Fargo, North Dakota, the two communities combine into a large metropolitan area in the heart of the Red River Valley. The area has all the cultural, recreational, and shopping opportunities you would expect in a metro area, with the advantages and feel of a smaller community.

Wadena

The Wadena campus is located at the gateway to the northern Minnesota lakes area. The community gets its name from the Ojibwe word meaning small, round hill. With numerous lakes and rivers surrounding the community, and with 300 acres of attractive public parks, recreational activities abound. Wadena, with a population of 4,300, serves as a regional trade center for 20 communities.
