Actually, the Detroit Lakes area offers you 412 lakes within a 25-mile radius and is home to a fantastic mile-long beach. Filled with forests and refuges, the area offers plenty of outdoor activities, including fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hunting, and more. ![]() Fergus FallsThe Fergus Falls campus is part of a vibrant community of about 14,000 people. As a regional
shopping hub, Fergus Falls is also known for its charm with historic homes and tree-lined streets. At DeLagoon Park in Fergus Falls, the Central Lakes Recreation Trail begins its
55-mile paved route southward through Central Minnesota. You will also find an active arts community and plenty of recreation activities. ![]() MoorheadThe Moorhead campus is at home in a community of about 34,000. Together with Fargo, North Dakota, the two communities combine into a large metropolitan area in the heart of the Red River Valley. The area has all the cultural, recreational, and shopping opportunities you would expect in a metro area, with the advantages and feel of a smaller community. ![]() WadenaThe Wadena campus is located at the gateway to the northern Minnesota lakes area. The community gets its name from the Ojibwe word meaning small, round hill. With numerous lakes and rivers surrounding the community, and with 300 acres of attractive public parks, recreational activities abound.
