English Language Learners

M State's EAP courses provide language support for English Language Learners (ELLs) who have graduated from American high schools. EAP courses are paired with college-level, credit-bearing courses, giving students the opportunity to enter the mainstream college classroom in their first semester at M State. New American Workforce Readiness

Are you a New American who wants to learn the skills that will help you succeed in the workforce? M State is offering a free 40-hour New American Workforce Readiness for you. The New American Workforce Readiness course will meet from 5:00pm to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 27 through November 17. Participants must have English skills at the advanced ELL level in order to register and must be assessed at the Adult Basic Education Program in Moorhead by September 16. All participants will take a post-test on November 10 and 15. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.
