The Center provides a relaxed out-of-classroom learning atmosphere that is conducive for optimum understanding. Faculty and peer tutoring assists students with effective strategies to improve content learning by deepening their understanding of concepts previously learned in the classroom. Center staff will assist students with transfer and outside employment opportunities.

The Learning Center staff are professionals dedicated to student learning and academic success. Here are just a few of the services that are available at the Learning Center: books in alternative formats, note taking services, peer tutoring, test taking accommodations (for students with proper documentation on file), Math tutoring, English tutoring. There are also Assistive Technology Devices available (such as digital recorders, reading pens, book and document magnifiers, electronic dictionary and thesaurus, specialized computer software to assist students with disabilities. Rosetta Stone software is also available for our ELL students. The Learning Center staff work closely with faculty to help students reach their academic potential.





The Learning Center location is D120 and the hours are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday -- 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Friday -- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
