Dr. Ann Valentine, PresidentDr. Ann Valentine took the helm as the president of Minnesota State Community and Technical College in July 2005. She previously served for five years as vice president and
provost at Gateway Technical College, Kenosha Campus, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. As chief executive officer for a campus in that multiple-campus system, Dr. Valentine provided
leadership in instruction, curriculum, student services, information technology, enrollment management and campus growth. Before serving on the Gateway campus, she was the dean
for instructional services at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas.
Valentine serves on the Commission on Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity for the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). The commission focuses on diversity, equity, and
inclusion in community colleges on a national level.
Valentine holds a Ph.D. in higher education and a master's degree in public administration, both from Iowa State University. Valentine also earned a bachelor's degree from
Mount Mercy College and an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College, both in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Cris Valdez, Provost; Detroit Lakes Campus & Wadena CampusCris Valdez joined Minnesota State Community and Technical College as the provost for the Detroit Lakes campus in March 2007 and was appointed to the Wadena campus in December
2008.
In his position as provost, Valdez is responsible for local leadership, local community outreach, and day to day campus operations of the campus. Under the presidency of Dr. Ann
Valentine, he also shares college wide strategic responsibilities with campus provosts in Fergus Falls and Moorhead.
Valdez previously served as the dean of students at University of Montana at Helena. Before beginning his position there in 2003, he served as the Grandview Campus Director for
Yakima Valley Community College in Grandview, Washington. Valdez also was a counselor for the Community Colleges of Spokane on the Colville, Washington, campus.
Valdez began his college education at University of Montana, where he earned his bachelor's degree with a major in social work. He earned his master of social work (MSW) at
Eastern Washington University and he is currently working to complete an Ed.D. in Community College Leadership at Oregon State University.

Dr. Anna Wasescha, Provost; Fergus Falls CampusDr. Anna Wasescha joined Minnesota State Community and Technical College as Fergus Falls campus provost in August 2007.
In her position as provost, Wasescha is responsible for local leadership, local community outreach, and day to day campus operations of the campus. Under the presidency of Dr. Ann
Valentine, she also shares college wide strategic responsibilities with campus provosts in Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, and Wadena.
Wasescha most recently served as Associate Dean for the College of Education Doctoral Programs at Walden University in Minneapolis. She also chaired the annual social change
conferences at the University. Prior to her position as Associate Dean, Wasescha served as Assistant Dean for the School of Management at Walden. She also taught at summer
residencies for doctoral students and advised the student honorary society.
Prior to joining Walden in 2005, Wasescha taught as an adjunct faculty member in the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies and served as consultant for service learning at
Concordia University in St. Paul. She has served in teaching, research, and administrative roles with University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and Hamline University in St. Paul. At
Hamline, Wasescha also served as a Study Abroad co-leader for programs in Japan and Beijing, China.
Wasescha's community involvement includes serving as Board President of Farm in the City, a non-profit, urban community gardening program she founded in 1996.
Wasescha earned her Bachelor's degree in literature, her Master's degree in higher education, and her Doctoral degree in educational policy and administration from
University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Dr. Jerome Migler, Provost; Moorhead CampusDr. Jerome Migler joined Minnesota State Community and Technical College as the provost for the Moorhead campus in July 2005.
In his position as provost, Migler is responsible for local leadership, local community outreach, and day to day campus operations of the campus. Under the presidency of Dr. Ann
Valentine, he also shares college wide strategic responsibilities with campus provosts in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, and Wadena.
Prior to his position M State-Moorhead, Migler was Vice President of College Outreach at NDSCS in Wahpeton where he was responsible for the Skills and Technology Training Center in
Fargo, Southeast North Dakota Workforce Training, distance education, college marketing, grants development and community education services. Prior positions at NDSCS included
Dean of the Technologies and Services division, and Coordinator of Curriculum.
Migler has been both a high school teacher (at Rugby and Garrison, ND) and college instructor (at Minot State University-Bottineau, Bottineau, ND & Riverland Community and
Technical College, Austin, MN).
He has bachelor's and master's degrees from NDSU and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. He is active in a number of community,
professional and church organizations. His interests include automobile restoration, music and traveling.

Pat Wilber, Vice President of Advancement & Custom Training ServicesPat specializes in new program development and delivery for industry and high school collaboration projects. She oversees campus Foundations, public relations, grant
development, institutional research and the College Readiness Center. Pat has earned degrees from: Rutgers University, BA-History-Education; University of St. Thomas, MA
-Administration of Community Education; University of North Dakota, PhD -English.
Pat Wilber
Title: Vice President of Advancement and Custom Training Services Dr. Barry Lane, Vice President of Learning ServicesDr. Barry Lane currently serves as Vice President of Learning Services at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, part of the Minnesota State College and University
System. Dr. Lane has written a variety of articles for educational, professional and secular publications. He recently co-authored a novel entitled, It's Uphill Most of the
Way Down. He is a highly successful conference speaker on leadership and human relations topics Dr. Lane graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1973. He earned his M.A in
Communications from the University of Minnesota and his doctoral degree (DSL) in Strategic Leadership from Regent University, West Virginia.
