Description: This course will involve concepts and hands-on application in multiple areas of auto repair. Included will be small areas of brakes, electrical, starting and charging systems, and tune-up. This course provides basic repair knowledge of service that is performed in a maintenance environment.

  1. Perform disc brake service.
  2. Perform drum brake service.
  3. Service brake fluid systems.
  4. Interpret voltage tests.
  5. Interpret amperage tests.
  6. Interpret resistance tests.
  7. Perform voltage drop testing.
  8. Test automotive batteries.
  9. Test charging systems.
  10. Determine charging system operation.
  11. Replace fuel filter.
  12. Perform basic maintenance to industry standards.
  13. Apply safety rules.
  14. Perform minor vehicle repair.
