Description: This course provides the student with a basic knowledge of exterior finishes, their installation and their uses in building construction. During the course the student will learn about and install various wall sidings, soffits and fascia coverings.

  1. Define roofing terms.
  2. Describe various styles of cornices.
  3. Install exterior doors.
  4. Demonstrate proper flashing and install windows.
  5. Apply house wrap.
  6. Install exterior wall coverings and components.
  7. Construct deck stairs and railings.
  8. Install fascia and soffits.
  9. Demonstrate proper application of roofing materials.
