CPTR2228 – RPG/OS400 II pdf

Description: This course is a continuation of the RPG/OS400 I course with more advanced RPG programming and OS400 operations introduced. A strong emphasis will be put on developing screen programs that call one another and pass parameters between them. A large programming project will be given students at mid-semester in which they will develop many programs that are related and dependent on each other.
Prerequisites: CPTR1128
Corequisites: None
  1. Writing advanced RPG programs.
  2. Build logical and complex physical files.
  3. Demonstrate passing parameters.
  4. Demonstrate error finding.
  5. Produce multiple RPG programs that interact with each other.
  6. Produce business reports.
  7. Develop queries.
  8. Develop CL programs.
  9. Demonstrate the ability to create, change, and delete data within multiple files.
  10. Develop interactive screens.
  11. Demonstrate the ability to power down and power up the iSeries AS400.
  12. Perform advanced menu making.
