Description: In this course, students will learn techniques to obtain and document medical history and physical assessment from patients across the life span. Students will learn how to communicate assessment findings with other members of a medical team. Students will integrate therapeutic communication, physiological, psychological and sociological changes across the life span and developmental stages.

  4. Demonstrate therapeutic communication with patients and their families.
  5. Identify factors that may contribute to psychological and sociological assessment.
  6. Document findings of medical history and physical assessment.
  7. Communicate patient assessment accurately with other members of the team.
