HITM2253 – Quality Management Studies pdf

Description: This course covers the components of quality improvement systems such as quality assessment, performance improvement, utilization management, risk management and credentialing. Also included is preparation for licensing and accreditation surveys.
Prerequisites: HITM1150
Corequisites: (None)
  1. Report compliance findings according to organizational policy.
  2. Trace the steps of the credentialing and recredentialing processes.
  3. Identify the componets of risk mangement.
  4. Identify the componets of ultization management.
  5. Define performace improvement objectives.
  6. Discuss patient satisfaction survey activities.
  7. Utilize tools and techniques to monitor, report and improve processes.
  8. Identify cost-saving and efficient means of achieving work processes and goals.
  9. Analyze policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with regulations and standards.
  10. Apply policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of health data both internal and external to the health system.
  11. Collaborate with staff in preparing the organization for accreditation, licensure and certification.
  12. Summarize project management methodologies.
