Description: The objective of this course is to develop the student's use and knowledge of pictorial drawings, sheet metal, pattern layout and welding drawing. Mechanical fasteners will be identified.
Prerequisites: MCDD1104

  5. Identify types of temporary fasteners.
  6. Identify types of permanent fasteners.

  9. Calculate design tolerances.
  10. Complete a basic material take-off.
  11. Create pattern developments.
  12. Describe plain bearings and rolling element bearings.
  13. Calculate gear ratios.
  14. Describe parallel, intersecting and non-intersecting gear types.
  15. Explain cam displacement diagrams.
