MRNT2205 – Marine Advanced Fuel Systems pdf

Description: This course covers the many types of fuel systems used on current two-stroke and four-stroke higher-end marine products. Most training will be on outboards above 115 horsepower and sterndrives above 135 horsepower. The main focus of this course is on larger carbureted and fuel-injected systems along with fuel distribution and associated parts of those systems.

  1. Identify different designs of fuel systems.
  2. Perform fuel system repair and service.
  3. Demonstrate marine fuel system troubleshooting.
  4. Explain fuel pump operation.
  5. Explain fuel injection design and operation.
  6. Perform carburetor troubleshooting.
  7. Rebuild carburetors according to manufacturer specifications.
  8. Identify various fuel injection designs.
  9. Explain various fuel tank designs.
  10. Demonstrate fuel system safety.
  11. Demonstrate marine mechanical troubleshooting procedures.
  12. Diagnose EFI fuel system troubleshooting procedures.
