MRNT2211 – Engine Service pdf

Description: This is a capstone course that will emphasize the perfection of skills acquired by the student during previous training in the marine program. While some new material will be covered, a majority of this course will be a review of earlier information attained but to a much deeper level than previously experienced. The student will focus on troubleshooting, repair and servicing products based upon simulated customer requests and complaints.

  1. Perform fuel and ignition system tune-ups.
  2. Troubleshoot operational problems.
  3. Perform electrical system setup.
  4. Explain failures related to symptoms.
  5. Verify proper component operation.
  6. Demonstrate effective test equipment operation.
  7. Replace faulty components.
  8. Adjust engine controls.
  9. Perform electrical troubleshooting.
  10. Perform fuel system testing.
  11. Demonstrate cooling system testing.
  12. Perform off-season lay-up procedures.
  13. Demonstrate charging system testing.
