MUSC1135 – Voice Ensemble pdf

Description: Meets MnTC Goal Area 6F. The voice ensemble is an auditioned choir (from the M State Concert Choir) meeting two hours per week on a regularly scheduled basis. This group will study and prepare music from various musical periods and geographic regions and performs a minimum of one concert each semester. This group also participates in campus life venues as they arise, MCC Fine Arts Festival and occasional area tours. May be repeated for credit.
Prerequisites: MUSC1141
Corequisites: None
  1. Students will study and rehearse choral music from historical to present and from various geographical regions.
  2. Students will discuss details and perfromance practices concerning the personal, historical and social background of each work studied.
  3. Students will compare and contrast works with works.
  4. Students will perform one or more concerts a semester.
