Description: This course introduces and familiarizes students with the Minnesota Plumbing Code and the North Dakota Plumbing Code. Definitions and miscellaneous statutes related to the plumbing codes will be covered.

  1. Describe the layout of the Minnesota Plumbing Code book and the North Dakota Plumbing Code book.
  2. Explain the basic content of the Minnesota and North Dakota Plumbing Codes and the differences in the content.
  3. Recall and apply the definitions from the Minnesota and North Dakota Plumbing Codes.
  4. Compare the definitions in the Minnesota Plumbing Code with the definitions in the North Dakota Plumbing Code.
  5. Compare and contrast statutes in the Minnesota Plumbing Code with those in the North Dakota Plumbing Code.
  6. Describe the effect of the Minnesota miscellaneous statutes on the plumbing industry in Minnesota.
