Course InformationDetails: (NANO2208) Nanomaterials & Coatings | | Credits | 3 | | Lec/Lab/OJT | 2/1/0 | | Prerequisite | A minimum of a C grade or better in NANO1101 and NANO1102 | | Course Description | This is a second-year nanotechnology lecture course intended to expose students to the fundamentals of nanomaterials and coatings. The student will gain a basic understand of both organic and inorganic films, ranging from thin film properties to actual processing. Students will gain the insight into the advantages of nanomaterials over bulk materials and how various industries are leveraging these properties. As nanotechnology is such a diverse field, examples will range from everyday applications (DVDs) to futuristic concepts (nanoparticles to cure diseases). | | Programs | Nanoscience Technology - AAS
