Departments - About ITS

Information Technology Services (ITS) is focused on bringing students, faculty and staff the highest form of technology in order to enrich learning. ITS is a division of three departments working together to provide and sustain dependable, accessible and responsive computing services to the M State community.

These departments include the Computer Services (One Help Desk located at each campus), Technical Services and Web Services.

Some of the responsibilities of these departments include:

  • Support and assistance for desktop and laptop computing in both administrative and academic environments, including equipment purchasing and repair;
  • All data networks (wired and wireless), including Internet access;
  • Support for the Integrated Statewide Records System (ISRS), the document management system (ImageNow), and related applications;
  • Software support and distribution;
  • Web site and application design, development and support, including the Content Management System (CMS);
  • Printing resources;
  • Network and email account setup and management;
  • Student laptop setup and support;
  • Computer lab maintenance and support;
  • Programming and database administration;
  • Campus PBX phone, voicemail and VoIP systems;
  • Campus and college-wide servers;
  • Classroom projectors and sound systems, ITV and other voice conferencing systems
