I wish to test-out of a course? How do I do it?

Answer

If it is a intro to computer/fundamental computer course you will just need to visit the Associate Registrar’s Office to complete a form to be registered and attend the testing time as noted on the schedule. You will receive either a “CR” grade for passing the test or a “NC” if you fail the test.

If it is a course not listed on the schedule as credit by examination, you will need to first meet with the instructor to see if there is a test available. Once you have confirmed the test availability, you will need to complete the Credit by Examination form, take it to the bookstore and pay the necessary fees ($50 per credit) and then give the form to your instructor. Once you have completed the test, the form will be submitted by the instructor to the Registrar’s Office for notation on your schedule. The course will appear on your transcript as a “CR” grade for passing the test or a “NC” grade for failing. If you are needing to adjust your schedule based on passing/failing the test, you will need to complete this process within the first five days of the semester.
