Steve King

Steve King enters his third year as the head coach of the Spartans, with the 2008 team posting a 3-6 record. Steve graduated from Eagle Bend High School in 1983 and played two years for the FFCC Spartans, was a captain and named the Most Valuable Player of the 1984 team. Steve had been an assistant coach for the Spartans for 15 years, 14 as the defensive coordinator before going to Itasca Community College for the 2006 season, where they compiled a 3-6 record. From 1994 to 1999 Steve was the head baseball coach and the defensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota in Crookston. Steve is married to Marci, and they have four children; Joel, Marshall, Olivia, and Levi
