Lyndon Mincey
"I started my own business last year, in Verndale, making 3-D prints, laser engravings, CNC stuff (computer numerical control laser cuttings). I wanted to expand my skills and software capabilities, so once I found out this program was in Wadena, it was a no-brainer. It’s about career and business growth for me. I’m in my first year, and I’m liking the program; it offers unique challenges, and I like the speed of the courses.
I plan to go on and get a four-year degree in Operations Management at Minnesota State University Moorhead after this. The end goal is to obtain more government contracts to grow my business. I was in the Air Force before, and they used third-party vendors to get aircraft components; that’s what I’d like to do, become a vendor like that."
