"I always liked going to the dentist. I had braces as a kid and I liked learning about dental work whenever I’d go in to get them tightened. I’m in my first semester in the Dental Assisting program now, and so far, I like it a lot. I like how hands-on it is, and it’s pretty fast-paced. I love all the professors, too; they’re very nice and care about each student. Minnesota has a program where Dental Assistants can give injections, but you have to work in a dental office for a year first. They offer that training here at M State, and I want to come back for that after finishing the assisting program and working for a year."
