"I’m planning on farming when I’m done with school and I didn’t want to go to a four-year college. The Agribusiness program at M State had just opened up when I was looking, so I enrolled. It’s pretty fun; I like it a lot. It’s a good program to get into if you want to have a future in agriculture, or in anything, really.
I’m from Mahnomen and grew up on a family farm. When I start working there, I’ll be the fifth generation farmer. We farm grains, corn, wheat and beans, so I’m focusing on the farm management and agronomy side of the program, not so much the cattle stuff. I’d tell anyone thinking about going into the program to just do it."
