"I’m halfway through my second year of this program and it’s teaching me the basics about most everything in the electrical field.
Coming to M State was a fluke decision for me; I decided to come here a week before I graduated high school. I’ve liked it ever since.
I did a summer internship for an industrial work company, won their Best Intern award, and was offered a job with them when I’m done with school. They have a regional office in Brainerd, so I’ll be doing traveling work. I prefer industrial electrical work over commercial and residential.
My advice to others going into this program is: Ask questions; ask everything. There are no dumb questions. There are people in this program with experience and others who have none, and everyone has the same questions. So don’t be afraid to ask."
