"I enrolled in this program because I wanted to be an electrician, either residential or commercial. 

I’m in my first year of the program, and at 26, I’m the oldest student. I figured it wasn’t too late to make a career change. Before this, I did a little bit of everything, but I’ve always enjoyed electrical work so when somebody recommended this program at M State, I said, 'OK!'

I love this program. It’s hands-on and I don’t get bored. The instructors let you work at your own speed but are not afraid to tell you if you need to pick up the pace. You can do as much work as you want to do.

My advice to other students thinking about joining the program is: Don’t be afraid to chase your dreams. Ask questions, and don’t come in acting like you know everything."
