Program Overview

Use multiple two- and three-dimensional software platforms to generate drawings of parts, assemblies and layouts and other manufacturing and construction-related documentation, and see your designs transform from computer models to three-dimensional solids, in these Design and Engineering Technology degree and certificate programs that make use of 3D scanning and rapid prototyping. Trained technicians are in demand for a wide range of jobs related to manufacturing and engineering.

You’ll learn:

Multiple software platforms to produce engineering drawings and documentation that conform to industry standards
Designs, processes and materials used in various engineering and manufacturing disciplines
Discipline-specific principles for creating functionally accurate and working designs
Mathematical equations related to drafting and design

DET2230 - 3D Printing and Prototyping

This course covers the basic concepts of 3D printing and rapid prototyping utilizing various three-dimensional printers and scanning equipment.
