Purpose

To recognize students for scholastic achievement at graduation.

Policy

Students who have achieved academic excellence at Minnesota State Community and Technical College will be recognized as follows:

  • Notation of honors on student’s academic transcript
  • Recognition during graduation ceremonies

Academic Excellence will be defined as a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better and will be noted as follows:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.50 - 3.74 will be awarded Academic Honors
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.75 - 4.00 will be awarded High Academic Honors

Recognition in College commencement materials will be determined by the last completed term’s cumulative GPA, however adjustments may be made at the time of awarding graduation status.
