Cisco Networking

M State's hands-on programs prepare you for rewarding careers in computer information systems, which include some of the fastest-growing jobs nationwide.
Body

Prepare to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and the CompTIA Network+ certifications. Cisco-certified technicians have career opportunities related to designing, building and maintaining information technology infrastructure.

M State's 12-credit Cisco Networking certificate is offered online. Prior experience with computer hardware, binary math and basic electronics is desired but not required to enroll in the program.

Here is what you'll learn

  • Analyze networking models and protocols
  • Configure local area networks and wide area networks
  • Define common industry terms and standards
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN systems

Financial aid eligibility

Because the Cisco Networking certificate (12 credits) is less than 15 credits, it may not be financial aid-eligible. Please check with the financial aid office by calling 877.450.3322 or emailing financialaid@minnesota.edu regarding your aid eligibility for this program.
