Open to graduates of our HVAC/R diploma program or people who have previous work experience in commercial refrigeration (with instructor permission), this comprehensive training program will teach you everything you need to know to service and maintain today’s energy-efficient commercial refrigeration systems. You’ll learn essential skills and knowledge about the design, installation and maintenance of walk-in coolers and freezers, supermarket refrigeration equipment, and ice makers. 

The program covers:

• Troubleshooting and repair of residential and commercial refrigeration appliances
• Refrigeration recovery, recycling and retrofitting (qualify for certification)
• Installation of residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Design and interpretation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Soldering and brazing procedures and techniques
• Safety practices and procedures
• Effective communication and computer skills
