  • College and University Presidents - Minnesota State college or university presidents are appointed by the board upon recommendation of the chancellor to serve as the executive officer. Presidents report to the system chancellor (Minnesota State Board Policy 4.2 Appointment of Presidents).

President’s Advisory Council

At the institutional level, M State utilizes the President’s Advisory Councils to stay connected to regional leaders and needs. The Advisory Councils provide direct and meaningful input on strategies and opportunities for collaboration to help build strong, educated, inclusive and vibrant communities. The councils meet biannually and include more than 75 representatives from business and industry, community agencies, and secondary and postsecondary education. Each M State campus community has representation on the councils.
