Our Art Transfer Pathway associate degree program transfers into related bachelor’s degree programs at any of the Minnesota State system's seven universities: Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University Mankato, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Southwest Minnesota State University, St. Cloud State University and Winona State University. When you complete the associate degree program, you will be guaranteed junior-year status within your designated bachelor’s degree program; your 60 credits earned at M State will directly transfer.
The program offers you multiple opportunities to exhibit your work at M State while learning to market and promote your artistic talents. Our visual arts facilities include ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking studios, a traditional darkroom, the Waage Fine Arts Gallery and the Charles Beck Gallery, all at our Fergus Falls campus. If you take part in the college’s annual Visiting Artists Program, you can make lasting professional network connections with national and international artists.
The creativity and problem-solving skills you'll develop in this degree program provide an excellent educational foundation for many career fields. You’ll learn:
- Scope and variety of artworks and art movements, along with their sociopolitical contexts
