"I’ve always liked to do nails. I’ve done my own for the past few years and it’s just something I enjoy doing. The Nail Technician program at M State was the best option for me, as it was close to home and I’d heard a lot about it. 

I only have three days left in the program now, and I can say it’s been so fun! I’ve been enjoying my time. I like that it’s like a real salon here, and you connect with other students from other cosmetology and hair programs. And the instructors are flexible. I drive over an hour to come here every day, and they’re very understanding if there’s bad weather. 

After this, I’m going to move into the same salon (in Bemidji) as another girl in the cosmetology program. We connected here, and now we’ll be moving on to our careers together."
