"I came to M State because it was close to home and because of the tuition costs – M State was far less money than other schools around. I took a school tour and talked to the instructors and they were very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience in the industry, in teaching.
I already knew I wanted to go into this field; my family has always farmed and I lived out in the country around big equipment. I always wanted to know more about how those work.
The program’s good. It’s very laid back and the instructors have a lot of knowledge, and they’re willing to give you that knowledge as long as you put in the effort. There were 15 of us in my class and we got to know the instructors pretty well. Everyone knew how to have fun, but we also learned a lot. I was sponsored by RDO and worked there during school. Hopefully, one day, I will start farming on the family grain farm."
