Academic Advising Policy
Purpose
To provide students with advising opportunities to effectively assist in planning a program and selecting educational, vocational and transfer objectives.
Policy
Minnesota State Community and Technical College believes that academic advisement is essential to the growth and development of all students. Each student is required to meet with an assigned advisor who will assist the student with scheduling and academic planning prior to registration each term. Advisors do not make decisions for students; however, they guide students by providing relevant information and encouragement.
