Description
This course will provide the student with an introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, terminology and application of best practices being used in the electrical industry.

Competencies
- Apply basic editing concepts using REVIT modify commands.
- Prepare simple electrical plans using REVIT basic drawing commands.
- Explain the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Explain the use of PDF editing software for estimating and drawing review.
- Identify multiple modeling software utilized in BIM.
- Explain the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) in the building trades.
- Explain the use of total station or TST (Total Station Theodolite) in the building industry.
