Randy Roberts

Professional information: I received my education in Architectural Drafting & Design Technology from Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Prior to going to college, I worked in masonry restoration and carpentry. I also have experience as a truss builder at a large truss manufacturing company. Before beginning this position, I worked twelve years at an architectural firm. I have experience with a vast range of projects from custom residential homes to banks to churches and even funeral homes. My involvement in these projects has been from the earliest part of schematic design all the way through construction completion. Having worked both in the construction field and an architectural office setting, I have lived the life of a CAD technician and project manager. I continually saw the need for skilled CAD technicians in the many areas of architectural drafting. I look forward to using my real life and hands-on experiences to prepare you to join the workforce. It would be my hope that all students graduating from this program can share my knowledge and enthusiasm about the exciting and rewarding careers available with a degree in Architectural Technology.
