Criminal Justice students hold food drive for the Campus Cupboard

The Criminal Justice Association (CJA) at M State presented donated foods to the college’s Campus Cupboard in Moorhead on March 12 following a winter food drive. The Campus Cupboard provides free food and supplies to students facing food insecurity.
The CJA set up the food drive in connection with the Saturday morning pancake breakfasts held all season at the Moorhead Masonic Lodge, according to Jeff Nelson, Criminal Justice Program coordinator and faculty member at M State. CJA students serve and interact with diners at the breakfasts while members of the Moorhead Masons, Eastern Star and Job’s Daughters handle the cooking and dishwashing; proceeds go toward the students’ education. The CJA and Moorhead Masonic Bodies have partnered on the breakfasts for the past nine years.
