Damon Lanoue, a sophomore in the Graphic Design program at M State, won a Gold ADDY award in the student division of the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota’s annual awards show, held at the Avalon Events Center in Fargo on February 28.

Lanoue’s winning entry, an integrated brand identity campaign for a company called “Gelava,” took top honors in the Cross-Platform category, competing against entries by students from several graphic design programs in North Dakota and western Minnesota.

Winning an ADDY is a prestigious accolade for professional and student designers. Gold winners have the option to continue competing in district and national events.

The American Advertising Awards recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in advertising. The national competition is the industry’s largest and most representative, drawing more than 25,000 entries each year.
