Thank you for your interest in Minnesota State Community and Technical College’s Radiologic Technology program. This program is designed to prepare qualified students for entry-level positions as certified radiologic technologists.

Acceptance into the Radiologic Technology program is competitive. Admission is based on the selection criteria listed below. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Students who do not meet the criteria will not be considered for the program. Please review this information carefully. 

  • Complete an application and be admitted to M State.
  • Complete an online application to the Radiologic Technology program.
  • Complete the Accuplacer assessment and be eligible to enroll in COMM 1140 (Interpersonal Communication) and MATH 1114 (College Algebra). If the Accuplacer assessment indicates that developmental courses are required, the coursework must be completed before you begin your required general education courses.
  • The following biology courses have a five-year recency requirement, meaning they must have been taken within five years of the programs start date. For Fall 2025 admission, courses will need to be taken Fall 2020 or later to be valid.
    • BIOL 2260 Human Anatomy & Physiology I Lecture
    • BIOL 2262 Human Anatomy & Physiology II Lecture

Estimated costs

All costs are approximate and can vary by campus. Students are responsible for the cost of purchasing a uniform, lab coat and name badge.
