“I came and visited M State and did a PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options) program here while at Underwood High School. After graduation, I came here for the elementary education program to save some money so I can transfer to a four-year university after my two years here are done. Ultimately, I want to be a fourth grade teacher.

I’m in my first year of the program, and it’s going pretty well so far. M State is a pretty cool program to start off with in college. You don’t feel too much pressure when it comes to the learning experience. Whether you want to go to a four-year college or not, this is a cool experience. 

I’ve already done 32 hours of classroom experience, at the school in Underwood, and that’s been my favorite experience so far. It was a cool environment – I was basically teaching there, helping with math and English. I liked seeing the kids’ brains light up like a lightbulb when they learned something they didn’t know before.”
