"I chose M State because it’s affordable and you get more one-on-one time with your professors than at larger universities. I went to school at M State once before, for nursing, in 2018, and lived in the dorms at Minnesota State University Moorhead. I liked having that fuller university experience at a smaller, more affordable school.
I found out through my nursing experience at Sanford Health that I loved doing surgical procedures and wanted to do more of them, so I came back to M State to study surgical technology. I love it here. The professors are very accommodating, and it’s a smaller campus so you have more one-on-one, and it’s more hands-on. The program is quick and you get right into the field from there. Also, the simulation labs that we have here, and our perioperative lab that we can do from home on our computers, are really helpful."
