With a Transfer Pathway associate degree from M State, you'll be ready to take your education further! These degrees make it easy for you to transfer to a four-year school without losing credits or needing to take extra courses.  All of M State’s associate degree programs, and some diploma programs, offer at least one seamless transfer option into a related bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university. 

When you graduate with a transferable degree or diploma at M State, your credits will directly apply to your designated bachelor’s degree program.

Transfer Pathways

Transfer Pathway associate degree programs offer numerous seamless transfer opportunities, thanks to a Minnesota State system cooperative agreement between multiple colleges and universities (including M State). M State Transfer Pathways can save you thousands of dollars on the cost of your bachelor’s degree!

Transfer Pathway degrees

Transfer as a college junior

When you earn a Transfer Pathway associate degree, you are guaranteed junior-year status at any of the Minnesota State system universities: 

  • Bemidji State University
  • Metropolitan State University
  • Minnesota State University Mankato
  • Minnesota State University Moorhead
  • Southwest Minnesota State University
  • St. Cloud State University
  • Winona State University

Your 60 credits earned for your associate degree at M State will directly transfer into your designated bachelor’s degree program.

Arizona State University and many other colleges and universities outside the Minnesota State system, including private schools, will accept M State credits for transfer, in part or in full. See Arizona State Transfer Pathway for details.

Other Transfer Programs

If you are interested in an area of study not addressed by a Transfer Pathway, we offer many other degree and diploma programs that have one or more seamless transfer options. All of our associate degree programs transfer seamlessly into related bachelor’s degree programs at Arizona State University, for example, and our Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees also transfer seamlessly into the Individualized Studies bachelor’s degree program at Metropolitan State University.
