Apply to M State

Congratulations on your decision to apply to M State! Your acceptance to the college is only two short steps away:

1. Complete M State's free, online application

2. Submit your high school/GED and all official college transcripts via email to records@minnesota.edu in PDF format. Or mail transcripts directly from the high school/college you attended to:

*Transcript requests vary between organizations. Check with the organizations you attended for transcript request procedures. 

Visiting student (non-degree seeking) admissions

If you are not seeking a degree at M State, attend school elsewhere, or are taking less than seven credits complete the Visiting Student Application

Once you have submitted the visiting student application, our admissions team will register you directly into the courses indicated on the application. You will receive a confirmation email with your class schedule once complete, or a request for additional documentation if necessary.

*Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid through M State. Check with your home institution's financial aid department about requesting a consortium agreement.

International student admissions

Minnesota State Community and Technical College accepts international students who are in-status (applicants with a valid F-1 or M-1 visa transferring from a school within the United States) and Canadian students. Review the international student admissions page for more details, deadlines, and instructions.

*Permanent residents, refugees and political asylees can complete the general admissions process. 

PSEO student admissions

High school students who wish to enroll through the Postsecondary Enrollment Options program must:

1.Complete the online application

2.Submit high school transcripts via email to records@minnesota.edu in PDF format.

3.Complete the required Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) form and submit via email to records@minnesota.edu in PDF format.

Selective admissions programs

Selective admissions programs require additional eligibility criteria and secondary application processes specific to each program. Visit your program's page (below) to review admission criteria or contact a member of the enrollment team for any questions.

Limited Scope Radiography
Medical Laboratory Technology
Nursing
Radiologic Technology
Surgical Technology
